The experience we offer our guests comes from a deeply held commitment to living in harmony with the environment around us.
Our water
The hot water in our lagoon is sourced from a naturally occurring geothermal spring just meters away, eliminating the need for energy-intensive water heaters. As the spring water is too hot for bathing, we cool it using glacial meltwater that is filtered and purified before being blended with the geothermal water. The result is pure, natural geothermal bathing water, free from chlorine.
Farm-to-table
We partner with local farmers to bring fresh, seasonal ingredients from nearby greenhouses to your plate. Our menus, created by celebrated chef Gísli Matt, reflect the region's bounty and support the local community.
Eco-friendly amenities
In our showers, you’ll find products from our signature skincare line, Rjóður, locally crafted with natural, responsibly sourced ingredients that are good for your skin and the planet.
Local materials
We opened our doors to the public in 2025. During construction, we sourced natural materials from the surrounding areas including locally sourced timber. This thoughtful approach reduced transportation and ensured that design works in harmony with the landscape.
